The Flight Instructor Course (FIC) is designed for licensed commercial pilots who wish to build flight experience and pursue a career in aviation training. This program prepares pilots with the knowledge, teaching techniques, and practical skills necessary to effectively instruct student pilots in both ground and flight training.
The course combines ground school sessions on teaching methods, lesson planning, and student evaluation with practical flight instruction training under the supervision of qualified instructors. Emphasis is placed on developing communication skills, instructional techniques, and safety awareness.
Upon completion, graduates will obtain a DGCA Flight Instructor License, enabling them to provide certified flight instruction and build professional flight hours while contributing to the development of future aviators. The program runs for approximately three (3) months, depending on student performance, weather conditions, and regulatory processing
The training phases of the FIC are as follows:
| Phase | Duration | Equipment |
| Ground Training | 40 hours | Classroom |
| Flight Training | 25 hours | Cessna 172 |
Note: Training duration may vary depending on weather, DGCA document processing, and trainee progress/performance.
