The Flight Instructor Refresher Course (FIRC) is designed for licensed flight instructors who wish to renew their qualifications and maintain their instructional proficiency. This program reinforces the essential knowledge, teaching techniques, and operational skills required to continue providing effective and safety-focused flight instruction.
The course includes ground school sessions covering updates in regulations, instructional methodologies, training standards, and best practices in aviation education. Instructors will also undergo refresher flight training to review core maneuvers, instructional demonstrations, and safety procedures under the guidance of experienced examiner-instructors.
Upon completion, graduates will meet the requirements for the renewal of their DGCA Flight Instructor License, enabling them to continue delivering certified flight instruction and supporting the development of future pilots. The program typically runs for approximately one (1) month, depending on instructor scheduling and regulatory processing.
The training phases of the FIRC are as follows:
| Phase | Duration | Equipment |

Note: Training duration may vary depending on DGCA document processing, and trainee progress/performance.
